Inspirational, educational webinar series took the top spot in the Loyalty category

Global DMC Partners (GDP), the premier global resource for virtual, hybrid and in-person events, has been awarded an IDEA award for 2021 by one of the leading news sources for travel executives, Skift. GDP was recognized for its Together at Home: Engage & Educate weekly webinar series. In its third year, Skift IDEA Awards has become the travel industry’s most coveted achievement for excellence in design, creativity and innovation.

GDP was recognized for its innovative use of continuing education via a webinar series as a way to encourage client loyalty. In early March 2020, GDP launched Together at Home: Engage & Educate, a free weekly webinar series, focused on personal and professional development. Topics ranged from resiliency and leading through change, to health and wellness and financial management. As the pandemic progressed, a second series launched – Destination Download: Insider Interviews with the Experts, to keep planners informed and educated on destination developments and readiness for travelers, groups, meetings and incentives.
