New Hotels and Activities are Springing Up in the Dutch Caribbean

In the spring of 2020, Aruba will be opening the 208-room Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence, marking the debut of the brand in Aruba. The 208 suites will range from 1000-2000 sq. ft. with special amenities like full kitchens. The property will have a spa, two pools, covered outdoor yoga space and a fitness center. In the last quarter of 2021, AMResorts will be joining the long list of beautiful hotels on the happy island of Aruba with its 600-room Secrets Baby Beach, the first of their brand to grace Aruba's renowned white sand beaches and turquoise glistening waters with an adult-only all-inclusive resort.

A new cooking experience - exclusively presented by ECO - gives attendees a glimpse into the traditional Aruban way of life and culture. During the experience, guests are first greeted "Aruban style" at CasdiWichi (a traditional Aruban home) with music, folk dress, and a traditional drink. There, a local chef will help them prepare customary savory dishes, while a native artist holds a class of water color painting and/or pottery, and a second chef teaches the art of making hot sauce, an Aruban favorite that attendees will be thrilled to take home.

Curacao excitedly welcomed two brand new hotels in the latter part of 2019. First to arrive, the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort, a place where the ultimate in old world luxury meets Caribbean charm with their spacious 328 guest rooms, 8 suites and 51,302 sq. ft. total event space. The space is comprised of 13 event rooms, multiple outdoor spaces from beaches to pool decks and balconies with sweeping views. Their Paradise Beach can hold 850 for an unforgettable oceanfront reception. This was followed by the opening of Dreams Curacao Resort, Spa and Casino, where the island’s Dutch culture and rich history provide a European experience in the Caribbean with five outdoor venues, including a 16th century colonial fort. Perfect for any meeting or incentive, Dreams offers 197 rooms and suites with luxury amenities to make every stay relaxing and memorable. Their ballroom seats up to 400 and with an additional five small meeting rooms and a boardroom.
