New York City's Newest Neighborhood

Hudson Yards, New York City’s newest neighborhood, is the center of Manhattan’s rapidly changing West Side. It is considered to be a major innovative feat in architecture, urban development and sustainability, and is the largest private real estate development in New York since Rockefeller Center.

Built atop the original subway parking lot at the northern terminus of New York’s famed High Line, at the intersection of Chelsea and Hell’s Kitchen, Hudson Yards has been transformed into a thriving destination in and of itself – catering to foodies, fashionistas, art lovers, park goers and tourists alike. Currently Hudson Yards is home to a wide array of top-notch restaurants and shops, a unique cultural center, the first-ever Equinox Hotel®, world-class medical facilities and the finest in luxury residences and affordable rental apartments.  And, at its core, is New York’s newest landmark, The Vessel – which is a climbable, interactive public monument, unlike any in the world.

By 2024, an estimated 125,000 people daily are expected to live, work, dine, shop, study, stroll or sightsee at this 28-acre neighborhood, which will include 14 acres of public open space, a public school and the Western Hemisphere’s highest outdoor observation deck (opens Winter 2019), among its many commercial and residential buildings.
