Our first DMC was founded in Denmark back in 1983. Between 1998 and 2010 we expanded and opened our own offices in Sweden, Norway and Estonia. Since 33 years ago, we have been focused and highly specialized in the MICE and CRUISE business. Today, DMC NORDIC is the brand that guarantees our customer innovative, cost effective and unforgettable MICE programs in all our four destinations. Our dedicated, local staff is willing to do the extra step to fulfill your highest expectations. In essence, this means you can access four destinations in the Nordic region through one DMC contact and build trans-regional programs with ease and confidence. Why Norway?

  • Norway is the happiest place on Earth, according to a United Nations agency report 2017.
  • A global leader in electric vehicle adoption: In 2016 Norway reached the milestone of 100,000 all-electric vehicles on the roads – something only a few countries can claim and certainly none of the size of Norway (~5.2 million people).
  • Norway has the world’s longest tunnel. Lærdal road tunnel is 24.5 kilometers (15.2 miles) long road tunnel connecting Lærdal and Aurland in Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. It is the longest road tunnel in the world.
  • Norway’s geography and breathtaking fjords: Norway includes 240,000 islands and a coastline that stretches over 64,000 miles. The unique and spectacular Norwegian Fjords are a "must see" - scenic in the summer season and exotic in the winter season.
  • Skiing was born in Norway: Almost a century and a half ago, in a village in Norway's Telemark region, a poor tenant farmer named Sondre Norheim came up with an inspired idea.

What's new in Norway

  • Norway has plans to build the world's first ship tunnel. The mile-long, 118-feet-wide tunnel will pass through the narrowest part of the Stad peninsula in western Norway, allowing freight and passenger ships to bypass the stormy, exposed Stadhavet Sea.
  • A Norwegian emission-free ferry called the Ampere was granted the esteemed “Ship of the Year” award as the SMM trade show in September 2014. The ferry is reportedly the first all-electric battery-powered car and passenger ferry in the world.
  • Norway has become the first country to switch off FM radio. The mountainous nation of 5 million will become the first in the world to phase out analog signals in favor of Digital Audio Broadcasting, or DAB.
