Starting May 6, GDP’s free webinars will educate the MICE industry via live interviews with destination experts from around the world

Following the success of its “Together at Home” series, Global DMC Partners (GDP), the leading global network of independently owned destination management companies (DMCs) and creative event experts, announces a new lineup of free webinars focused on connecting meeting and event professionals with DMC experts from around the globe. The aptly named “Destination Download” series will provide a virtual insiders’ look into a variety of destinations with live, bite-sized interviews hosted by Global DMC Partners President & CEO Catherine Chaulet.

“We’ve heard from our clients that they are greatly missing the travel experience and discovering new places for their groups. Many are already considering where to take their next program when travel resumes, so they want to know how prepared and ready these destinations are from a health and safety perspective,” said Chaulet. “They are also concerned about the ability of some destinations to deliver on their programs in the future, so we think this new webinar series will be the ideal opportunity to help the industry learn more -  directly from the experts - about the readiness and preparedness of these destinations, and all from the comfort of home.”

Each ‘Destination Download’ will cover the following topics:

• Destination Basics - location, flight patterns/airlift, ideal seasons for groups, etc.
• Destination Secrets - "must -do" experiences and unique offerings for meetings, events, and groups
• Destination Culture - what should visitors know about the unique culture, business etiquette, or common misconceptions?
• Destination Preparedness - how is the destination managing the current crisis and what does the future look like for meetings and events in the destination?
