As hotel renovations and construction continue picking up speed after Covid-19, hoteliers are adjusting their property designs to meet new guest demands that may not have been paramount two years ago.

Melia Hotel International Brand – new international chain in Malta

Located in the heart of St. Julian's, the Scirocco is also a great option for smaller events, sporting a pool and rooftop terrace specifically designed for small corporate groups of up to 50 guests.

Affiliated by Melia - Hotel Levante – opened in July 2023

Located right by the main commercial district, right by St. George's Bay and near Spinola Bay, the Levante also provides a more intimate setting and is smaller than the Mistral. Just as the Mistral, however, it also sports an intimate roof top pool and bar area, overlooking yet more fantastic views of the Maltese coast.

ME Residences Malta - ME Malta will be opening its doors in September 2023

Redevelopment of Ramla Bay Resort

The Ramla Bay Resort redevelopment project is now well underway. Located on the Northernmost shore of Malta, by the limits of Mellieha, the hotel started welcoming guests again on March 22, 2023. This redevelopment is ambitious and will become a staple for MICE and other private events taking place in Malta.

The project is expected to be completed by summer 2024 when the hotel will have 600 guest rooms in operation. The hotel will then have three new buildings complementing the existing Atrium Wing. Each building will also feature the distinctive atrium and indoor garden concept that has rapidly become synonymous with the Ramla Bay Resort. The resort will also be equipped with three private meeting rooms, each equipped with the necessary audiovisual equipment, perfect for meetings with speakers, conferences, and other events.

Until then, the hotel will continue to make use of the 200 guest rooms and amenities that are situated in the Atrium Wing, with the addition of all three outdoor swimming pools back in operation.
 

New Hilton Hotel Opening

Hilton will be opening a fantastic new property directly on the seafront, overlooking stunning sea views and St. Paul’s Island. The hotel is slated to open in June 2024. Seashells Rebrands to Odycy

Seashells Hotel will be rebranding into Odycy Hotel – a multifaceted hotel and leisure destination dominating the coastline of Qawra, on the Eastern side of Malta. The hotel offers a dedicated conference center with state-of-the-art technology, sound and video equipment. Ideal for speaker seminars, small-scale meetings, or any type of special corporate event, the largest of these halls can accommodate 250-300 people.
