Global DMC Partners, the meeting professional’s one worldwide solution for global event success, awarded three DMC Partners with their 2016 Partner of the Year Award at Global DMC Partners Connection 2016 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on Saturday, June 25. Austin-based, Red Velvet Events, and Shackman Associates New York won the U.S. Partner of the Year award, and the International Partner of the Year Award was presented to TAM Travel Corporation serving Costa Rica.

Global DMC Partners recognized each DMC for their outstanding client feedback, dedication to the Global DMC Partners Service Standards and partnership, and each one’s inherent ability to continuously create tailored, creative, and flawless client programs.

The Partner of the Year Awards are presented annually to the top performing DMCs at the Global DMC Partners Connection. Out of a pool of 59 Global DMC Partners, the Partner of the Year Award Winners must exceed specific selection criteria set by Global DMC Partners within the following categories:  creativity, quality, operational excellence, top customer satisfaction survey ratings, and contribution to the Partnership.

Hosted by .::ECT::. [mice dmc], the Global DMC Partners Connection 2016 took place from June 23-26 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Over 200 meeting professionals, DMC leaders, and Global DMC Partners team members took part in the event which consisted of innovative business sessions, one-on-one appointments, industry specific breakout sessions, an interactive customer panel, site visits, and attendee-elected tours around Punta Cana.  

During the awards ceremony, Global DMC Partners announced that for the first time there will be two Connections in 2017. One will be hosted by Synergies DMC Italy in Italy in March 2017 and the second will be hosted by FDM in Las Vegas, NV in August 2017.
