One of the great things about Panama is the quality of the tourism infrastructure, which is practically unrivaled in Central or South America. In addition, Panama is a short flight distance from multiple destinations with flights to and from United States, that’s why it's considered the Hub of the Americas.
Panama is one of the safest countries in the world, and the country offers a variety of attractions. It is possible to appreciate historical monuments, enjoy boat trips to nearby islands, visit indigenous communities, practice golf in the middle of the rainforest, support ecotourism, or go trekking in the mountains. Panama is the business center of the Americas and the emerging economies of the region. The official currency is the Balboa which is tied to the value of the American dollar. Panama has quietly transformed into one of the most sought-after incentive travel locations in the world.
One of the newest additions in Panama is the Amador Convention Center. The modern facilities are built in the tourist area of the Calzada de Amador, on the banks of the Canal.
The new center will have capacity for more than 20,000 people and will have a main hall of 15,000 square meters (162,000 sq ft) for fairs and exhibitions, a banquet area of 4,000 square meters (43,000 sq ft), meeting rooms of 2,300 square meters (25,000 sq ft), a large central lobby and pre-function area of 12,000 square meters (129,000 sq ft) and parking for more than 1,700 vehicles. Construction of the center is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2019.
